The impact that music has on the world is absolutely extravagant. It is insane how much the music industry has changed over the years and that society follows it. I would agree with the fact that music has had its up moments and its down moments, but I like that it is always changing. There is constantly new music coming out. Adjustments are constantly being made. I have never appreciated anything as much as I appreciate the beauty of music. It is insanely aesthetic and without it, I could imagine the world being a mess. Music can put people into happy moods, angry moods, sad moods, and so many more just through one song. Music is a powerful substance and I will never understand people who don't appreciate it. Honestly, I can come home from an extremely horrid day, and I can pick up one of my guitars and the weight just seems to be lifted so quickly off of my shoulders. It is such a relief to me.
I made history for myself and the Springfield Charity Championship horse Show when I made my debut in driving this show season. It was marked for me because it was my very first time driving instead of riding in a show. I also, however, was the youngest competitor to compete in Park Pleasure Driving. That being said, I had two absolutely fantastic drives and came out as Reserve Champion in the qualifier and Grand Champion in the championship class. The horse that I showed in these classes, Diamond, was perfect. She did her job and looked really nice doing it. It was even her first time being shown driving. My trainers said that they should have been nervous, but they weren't at all because they said that they trust Diamond and I. Diamond took care of me in that crazy, massive, bright arena. I can't thank her enough for helping me accomplish this colossal dream of mine.
Greek mythology is something that I have always had awe for. I think that my interest here is due to the massive number of things you can learn within its walls; it seems to be endless. You may think you know all that there is to know within the matter, but your content still will only scratch the surface. It is metaphorically impossible for your brain to acquire everything that is mythology.
Beginning in the Bronze Age, Greek myths were oral tradition. Soon enough, the plots and themes unraveled into written literature of the archaic and classical periods. Within Homer's epics, the story of the Trojan War was written for readers. Although the gods and goddesses were the main characters, they were left not introduced solely because readers and listeners would already be familiar with them. There would lie no direct point in doing so. In the 5th century plays of Aeschylus, Sophocles, and Euripides, mythological figures and events appeared. On the highest mountain in Greece, Mount Olympus, lived the pantheon of deities, Olympian gods and goddesses looked like men and women, but in all reality, were gods and could change into whatever form would please them. Hera, Aphrodite, Apollo, Ares, Artemis, Athena, Demeter, Dionysos, Hephaistos, Hermes, Poseidon, Hades, Hestia, and Eros are of the Olympian gods and goddesses. The heroes within Greek mythology are Heracles, Pandora, Pygmalion, Arachne, Ganymede, Midas, and Narcissus. As there is good, naturally, there must be evil as well. I wouldn't consider the "monsters" to be evil in Greek mythology though, many of them accomplished many good things. This next set of names is considered the monsters and hybrids, Pegasus, Centaur, Sphinx, Harpies, Cyclops, automatons, manticores and unicorns, Gorgons, pygmies, and many types of dragons. In the myths, these creatures were featured in many of the stories with the gods and goddesses. In conclusion, I find Greek mythology extremely interesting and maybe after you read this, you will spark an interest for it too. This was just a brief overview and as previously mentioned, barely scratching the surface of the myths. It is so neat to me that the stories and themes have helped make art and literature into what it is today. My absolute highest prides and passions are my horses. The breed that my lovely show horses are is the American Saddlebred. I love to educate people on these horses because it seems that people around here are often mistaken on what we do or are not even familiarized with the breed at all. Saddlebreds are very high strung and energetic horses that mainly perform the discipline Saddleseat, which is a branch off of the English discipline. There are many divisions of Saddleseat, such as, Park, Five Gaited, Three Gaited, Show Pleasure, Country Pleasure, and Equitation. These are the main divisions. This incredible breed of horse also executes an amazing show for the Western Pleasure division. Driving is another specialty fit to the American Saddlebred. When you drive a horse, you are in a cart, or a buggy, for some divisions. I think that Saddleseat is very much under credited, but I could possibly just be biased. My friends and I have grown used to being accused of abusing our horses. We love these creatures and would never hurt them. These animals are completely and utterly happy and spoiled. All of the disciplines are constantly hating on other disciplines and these moments are very sad. I wish the equestrian community could all only be civil and get along. In the pictures that will soon be attached to this blog, you will see that this stunning breed has a natural oasis of beauty. From the long arching necks to the big animation overall, you simply cannot get a picture more perfect.
Welcome to my blog. This blog is going to have a main base of a class that I am taking this school year, my sophomore year. The class is called STEAM and it is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. My name is Hannah and I find high enjoyment in quality eats and Wolfpack. A good pun has a colossal amount of respect from me. Also, I ride American Saddlebred horses.
